Muddiest Point

Hey guys,
I am most confused about what each cell does (like the types of T cells, B cells, etc.). What is the difference between a killet T cell, and a helper T cell?
Also what is the difference between a specific and non specific defense?\

Thanks!!

  1. Hi Kaitlyn,

The difference between a nonspecific and a specific defenses is that a nonspecific disease does not attack the specific diseases of the immune system. A specific disease responds to one of the particular pathogen. Antigens are recognized by the specific defenses recognizing self and non self. T cells defends the body by killing off cells that are already infected with the disease so that it slows down the transmission of the virus between one cell and another. A b cell produces antibodies to flag the virus down. The difference between a killer t cell and a helper t cell is that a killer t cell is told to kill the cells that are infected with the virus the helper t cell is to help the macrophage to send the message that a virus is around and that they need to fight it.

    I hope that this helps!

  2. Helper T cells help stimulate the destruction of infected cells.
Killer T cells (cytotoxic)-destroys infected cells.

    hope this helps!
