Erythrocytes are the red blood cells and their main task is to transport oxygen. The leukocytes are the white blood cells and the white blood cells fight against foreign viruses, fungi, or parasites. The platelets main purpose is to clot blood. So when you get a cut, the platelets start clotting the blood so that you don't loose a lot of blood from your body when you get a cut.
