Muddiest Point

Hi guys, I'm still confused on the way the blood flows through the heart. If someone could help me that would be great! Thanks!

  1. it goes from the inferior and superior vena cava, then to the right atrium, through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle, then through the pulmonary valve into the pulmany artery where it then gets sent to the lungs. In the lungs, the blood becomes oxygenated, and from there it goes back to the heart through the pulmonary veins, into the left atrium. It then goes through the mitral/bicuspid valve into the left ventricle, and then through the aortic valve to go to the aorta which then has arteries to send the now oxygenated blood to the rest of the body.

  2. Hey Kaily!
The blood goes from the superior vena cava and/or the inferior vena cava to the right atrium, to the tricuspid valve, then the right ventricle, pulmonary valve, pulmonary arteries and then to the lungs. From the lungs, the now oxygenated blood comes back to the heart through the pulmonary veins to the left atrium, then bicuspid (or mitral) valve, the left ventricle, aortic valve, and then out through the aorta to the rest of the body.
    Hope this helps!
