double fertilization is when two sperm cell nucleis of a male gamete, meet with a two cell nuclei of a female gamete. One of the cells unites with a diploid central cell to form another cell that develops in to an endosperm, while the other cell fuses with a haploid egg cell to form a zygote. hope this helps!
