Muddiest Point!

Hey guys. So I've been confused about the difference in the menstrual cycle when there is a zygote and when there isn't. Is there anything different or what are somethings that are the same? Thanks!

  1. Zygote is a fertilized egg. In menstrual cycle, the egg develops within a follicle and then releases from the ovary. The uterus is also prepared to receive the fertilized egg, or a zygote. But if the egg is not fertilized, it is discharged with the lining o the uterus. If it is fertilized, embryonic development starts.
