Muddiest Point

Hey guys!
The only thing I am confused on is when they say dominant, do they mean that when there is a capital letter that that letter kind of "gets the say" and recessive doesn't because it is a smaller letter? I think I just need clarification on that and then I am good!

  1. Yeah the dominant is the one that gets expressed. You can think of it like the bigger letter is the one that "takes over" the smaller letter. Remember that in co-dominance it is different because both alleles are dominant, so both of them are expressed equally. Since both of them are big letters none of them can "take over" the other.

  2. yeah i agree with tayna but what helps me remember it is that the dominant one which in some cases is the capitol letter takes over the smaller one which is the lower case recessive. thats what helps me remember it so i hope it helps
