Muddiest Point

Hi Everyone,

I am a little confused on what ATP and ADP is, what is the energy transfer,
and how the cell uses it.It would be very helpful if someone could explain this to me!

Thanks!

  1. ATP is the chemical that cells want to use for energy by cells.

ADP is a lower energy molecule that is found in cells. During CELLULAR RESPIRATION, mitochondria take ADP, energy (from glucose) and a phosphate group and FORM ATP.

ATP can then be used by the cell to "power" all sorts of cellular processes.
