muddiest point

My Muddiest Point!
What is Golgi Bodies? What is their function? Also What is the difference between nuclus and nucleous?

  1. Ok, so the Golgi Bodies is the "pancakes with drops of syrup" thing that we talked about in class. Also, I tend to have trouble with knowing which ones the Golgi Bodies and the ER. The way I have come to think of it is how the ER is a bit more larger and spread out where the Golgi Bodies are a little more packed together and they have the circular things on the side of them, too.

    Their job is kinda of like UPS. They sort out, modify (meaning change), and package proteins and other things that go to it from the ER. They also either ship those things out of the cell, or keep them inside of the cell.

    Now, the difference between the nucleolus and nucleus is this... First off, the nucleolus is inside of the nucleus and is made out of RNA and proteins and is also where ribosomes are made. So, the nucleus, the things surrounding the nucleolus, is like the brain of the whole cell where you can find DNA and the instructions to make proteins.
