Muddiest Point

Hey guys! I am having trouble with the difference between Platyhelminthes and nematoda. If someone can help that would be great!

  1. Platyhelminthes are free living and use cilia and muscle cells to move and nematodas move by thrashing around and use muscles that work with the hydroskeleton to move. Platyhelminthes have only one opening where as nematodas have 2 openings, the mouth and anus.
    I hope this helps!

  2. Nematoda are roundworms and Platyhelminthes are flat worms. Platyhelminthes use cilia and muscle cells. When Nematod glide like snakes, which is a skeleton called hydrostatic.
Nematoda move with muscles that work like hydrostatic skeleton which lets the move like snakes. Also the nematoda are unsegmented.
