Muddiest Point

Hey Everyone! For my muddiest point, my question is what is an autotroph? i just dont understand what it does? Can someone please explain it for me?

  2. If you break down the stem words it'll be easier to identify...
    Auto is self
    and
    troph is feed.

    So it literally means self feed... they feed themselves.

  3. For all practical purposes, autotrophs are plants. Another word would be producer. Autotroph and producer really mean the same thing. And we are usually talking about plants because they carry out photosynthesis to make food
