So, a lot of you have mentioned the things that I'm confused on, which would probably be the pyramidsofbiomass and numbers... If someone could help me with that it'd be awesome!
The idea with the pyramids is that they are a visual way of showing how much of something there is...
SOOOO... in the pyramid of biomass, we are looking at relatively how much MASS of organisms exist as each trophic level. The larger biomass is at the bottom.
Imagine if you got a huge scale and took the MASS of all of the krill in the ocean and all of the whales in the ocean. The krill would have great mass than the whales.
The NUMBERS pyramid is just showing you HOW MANY individual organisms are at each level. So, if you counted how many oak trees... how many actual rabbits... etc. That is what is represented by the pyramid of numbers.
